About Apple RSS Feeds All RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds from Apple are based on the RSS 2.0 specification. RSS is a standard for syndicating frequently updated content from a site via a newsreader. Now Apple builds RSS right into the system and uses it for innovative communication such as Photocasting in iPhoto.
Safari RSS for Mac OS X lets you keep up with breaking news thanks to support for RSS 0.9, RSS 1, RSS 2 and Atom. With Safari, you know right away if you’ve landed on a website that offers an RSS feed, thanks to a handy RSS icon. Click it and Safari displays the feed. Safari even tells you when your bookmarked feeds are updated with new articles, so you get the latest news without repeatedly refreshing.
RSS Visualizer Screen Saver The Mac OS X Screen Saver lets you view a realtime display of any RSS feed you bookmarked in Safari.
